Project Manager, Acquisition Systems

Overview
The Project Manager, Acquisition Systems will lead cross-functional product development and field deployment initiatives focused on advancing Inova’s seismic acquisition technologies. This role manages projects from concept through commercialization, coordinating engineering, manufacturing, operations, and field support teams to ensure successful delivery of hardware, firmware, and software solutions.

Duties and Essential Job Functions

  • Work closely with VP of Engineering to manage end-to-end delivery of product development initiatives across hardware, firmware, and SaaS platforms.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Service Engineering (FSE), and Operations, to ensure alignment from development through deployment and post-launch support.
  • Manage multiple concurrent technical projects, balancing scope, schedule, cost, quality, and resource priorities.
  • Effectively balance competing project priorities while proactively communicating changes in direction, scope, or timelines.
  • Lead project prioritization discussions, dependency management, and release coordination across engineering teams.
  • Influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders without direct authority to drive alignment and keep projects on track.
  • Facilitate technical and operational meetings, maintaining clear action tracking and accountability.
  • Deliver executive-level project reporting, including risks, mitigation plans, and program status updates.
  • Support manufacturing readiness, field testing, issue triage, and product rollout activities.
  • Continuously improve project management processes and execution frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and health and safety requirements.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or related technical field.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in a product or technology development environment.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary technical teams within a matrix organization.
  • Proven experience delivering products from concept through commercialization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Jira, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with Agile and traditional project management methodologies.

Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based environment.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel, approximately 15%.
  • Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes to permit the employee to function. in a general office environment and accomplish tasks and duties as outlined above.
