Transition Zone Environment
Transition zones (TZ) are tricky areas for seismic exploration, since data can’t be acquired by the same techniques used for land or deep water surveys. These areas are characterized by rapid changes in water depths, tides, variation in sea bottom topography and sediments which impose constraints survey design and equipment. These dynamic, complex environments require tools and equipment that bridge the gap to ensure continuity of seismic information from land to shallow water to deep marine.
